LRH Registered Nurse Recipient of Make Yourself Proud Fund Gift
December 1, 2010
When the late Honorable Judge Peter W. Smith passed away his family wanted to do something meaningful in his memory - something that would make him proud, so they established the Judge Peter W. Smith - Make Yourself Proud Fund with a donation to the Littleton Regional Hospital Charitable Foundation.
The Fund will provide an annual gift to a nurse at Littleton Regional Hospital for their dedication to the patients at LRH and devotion to the nursing profession. This is something that would have made the late Judge Peter Smith very proud. The name of a nurse is drawn on the anniversary of Judge and Mrs. Smith's wedding anniversary. Theresa Armstrong, RN at LRH in the medical/surgical unit is the first recipient of the "Make Yourself Proud Fund" gift from the Fund.
The LRH Charitable Foundation was established in 2003 as the fundraising arm for Littleton Regional Hospital. The Foundation's mission is "to create community and regional charitable support for Littleton Regional Hospital and programs and services that promote the health and well being of the communities it serves."
This fund is one of many endowments, memorial and honor funds established in honor or memory of a family member or friend. For more information about the LRH Charitable Foundation, please call Gail Clark, executive director at (603) 444-9304.
