LRH Recognized by the American Red Cross Life Share Program
March 19, 2011
Littleton Regional Hospital recently achieved the American Red Cross - Life Share Program - Silver Level based on donations to the Red Cross in 2010.
Recognition for the American Red Cross Life Share Program is based on participation rate and sponsors can achieve Silver, Gold or Platinum levels. Platinum is the highest achievement in the Life Share Program and is awarded to sponsors that achieve a participation rate of greater than 30 percent.
Successful blood drives are a true partnership among the sponsoring organization, the donors and the American Red Cross. Families and communities depend on the Red Cross in times of need; yet the Red Cross depends on the support of the American people to help sustain the foundation.
Warren K. West, CEO states, "We are pleased to support the American Red Cross and feel that as a community hospital it is our responsibility to do so. We are grateful that LRH employees see the need to participate and volunteer quarterly at LRH, helping us to achieve this recognition."
