Scholarship Awarded In Memory of Bill Presby
June 12, 2010
Mr. Wayne Presby presented Molly Bromley, graduating senior from Lisbon High School with the first annual L. William "Bill" Presby Memorial Scholarship at graduation, a scholarship established for Lisbon students entering the nursing field in loving memory of his late father.
The scholarship was established in memory of Mr. Bill Presby to provide scholarships annually for a graduating senior from Lisbon High School entering the nursing field. Mr. Presby received outstanding care by some of the most caring and compassionate nurses during his illness and Mrs. Elledra Presby and her family wanted to give something back to students entering the nursing field as this would have given Mr. Presby great pride and pleasure. Presby family members present at the graduation scholarship award ceremony included Mrs. Elledra Presby, Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Presby, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Presby and granddaughter, Abby Presby.
The scholarship is administered by the Littleton Regional Hospital Charitable Foundation, the fundraising arm for Littleton Regional Hospital whose mission is "to create community and regional charitable support for Littleton Regional Hospital and programs and services that promote the health and well being of the communities it serves." The LRH Charitable Foundation offers an Honor and Memorial Program for families wishing to establish funds in memory or honor of their loved ones.
