In an effort to help underprivileged children in our North County community have a magical holiday, Ammonoosuc Community Health Services and Littleton Regional Hospital is supporting the 18th Annual “Christmas Caring Tree Project.” This project is a joint community effort and includes support from Ammonoosuc Community Health Services, Littleton Regional Hospital, Abbott Rental, Admac Salvage & Tannery, Garnet Hill, Littleton Area Rotary Club members, WMTK, FCI/Burndy and Catholic Charities.

The Caring Tree will be located in the lower atrium of Littleton Regional Hospital, decorated with tags identifying children in need by first name, age, sex, size and each child’s wish to make their holiday season a special one. LRH invites community members to choose a tag from the tree and purchase a special gift to make each child’s wish come true. Unwrapped gifts, including the tag/label, should be delivered to the Admac Salvage and Tannery on Saramac Street in Littleton by Friday, December 7, 2007.

Gail Clark, director of development and community relations at Littleton Regional Hospital stated, “This project is very important to families in Littleton and surrounding towns. It would not be possible without Amy Venezia and Lisa MacKenzie who work at Ammonoosuc Community Health Services in the Pregnancy and Beyond Program and WIC. Both of these ladies make sure that each family receives support from The Caring Tree project by providing all of the gift tags to supporting organizations. . Littleton Regional Hospital along with other area businesses shares the gift tags with employees and community members of children who will enjoy a gift on Christmas day. More than 350 generous supporters select tags and purchase gifts for all of the children. Co-sponsors of the event are Admac Salvage and Tannery, Abbott Rental, and Littleton Regional Hospital. Everyone involved is a tremendous help to the success of this special initiative.”

Anyone interested in selecting a gift tag should contact the Office of Development and Community Relations at Littleton Regional Hospital at (603) 444-9355 or 444-9304 or stop by LRH.
