Local EMT Receives Award
Littleton, NH - As part of the National Emergency Medical Service Week recognition, LRH awarded Timothy Leavitt, the Littleton Regional Hospital Emergency Medical Service Person of the year award. This award is presented to an EMS Provider who is recognized by his peers and Littleton Regional Hospital for outstanding dedication and commitment to Emergency Medical Services in the greater Littleton area. EMS week runs from May 18th- 24th to recognize EMS personnel who dedicate their time, commitment and effort to pre-hospital patient care.
Timothy is and EMT-Intermediate affiliated with Ross Ambulance in Littleton. Timothy is a Littleton Resident and proud Father of 2 children. The duty and responsibility of an EMT-Intermediate is to provide direct patient care at the advanced life support level with approved medications and life saving equipment.
Edward L. Duffy, MD, Emergency Department Director and LRH Board Chair, presented the award to Roy. This year marked the 34th Anniversary of National EMS Week and the national theme for EMS Week is - “YOUR LIFE IS OUR MISSION”.
Dr. Duffy stated, “Tim’s dedication and commitment to patient care service is exemplary with over 10 years of service to the community. The Town of Littleton is fortunate to have an EMSA provider with Tim’s skill and commitment to emergency medical service.”
