Hospital Sponsors HOSA Program at LHS
The Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) State Conference was held on March 26, 27 & 28, 2008 in Nashua, NH. The group of students pictured are enrolled in the Health Science Technologies Program at the Hugh J. Gallen Regional Career & Technical Center. These hardworking students placed in the State competitions and are eligible to represent Littleton High School and the community competing at the National HOSA Conference this June in Dallas, Texas.
Ryan Beusoleil placed 2nd in Extemporaneous Speaking, Patrick Cremin placed 2nd in Clinical Specialty, Skyler Bourque placed 2nd in Prepared Speaking, Jocelyn Nute placed 2nd in Medical Photography and Holly Pitre placed 2nd in Medical Spelling.
The cost for the students to attend is approximately $1,000.00 per student. The HOSA National Conference is an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for students to participate and compete with 6,000 future health care workers from across the country. The students are in the process of fundraising and Littleton Regional Hospital, an important supporter of the Health Science Technologies Program, supported their efforts with a scholarship of $2,000.00 to help cover costs for this very worthwhile trip and conference expenses.
