Sara Dudley Named State Auxilian of the Year

Sara Dudley recently received the 2007 NHAHA Auxilian/Volunteer of the Year Award.
Congratulating Mrs. Dudley are her daughters, Elaine Stroop and Tina Peabody.

Littleton Regional Hospital and its Auxiliary are pleased to announce that Sara Dudley of Whitefield was presented with the 2007 Auxilian/Volunteer of the Year Award by the New Hampshire Association of Hospital Auxiliaries at its recent annual meeting.

Mrs. Dudley has been a member of the Littleton Regional Hospital Auxiliary for over fifty years. She served a term as the Auxiliary’s Treasurer, played a leading role in running the Auxiliary’s annual Country Fair fundraisers in the 1960’s and 1970’s, and has donated countless hours supporting LRH through her diverse work with the Auxiliary. Over the past thirteen years, Mrs. Dudley has served as a hospital volunteer, working in the Auxiliary’s gift shop one morning a week, year round, as well as substituting for other volunteers.

Mrs. Dudley’s commitment to service does not end with her efforts as a member of the LRH Auxiliary. She has served for many years in the Ladies Guild of the First Congregational Church of Littleton. In the spring of 2005, the American Red Cross recognized Mrs. Dudley for her years of service to the Littleton Blood Drive. Since 1950, Mrs. Dudley has volunteered, four times a year, at the blood drawings where she would take temperatures and pulses as well as serving refreshments.

On hand to celebrate Mrs. Dudley’s award her daughters, Elaine Stroop and Tina Peabody, and a delegation of Littleton Regional Hospital Auxiliary members.
