Guarding our Children’s Heart Health
According to an American Heart Association scientific statement from 2007, …evidence from laboratory, clinical and epidemiological studies supports the need for primary prevention of CVD (Cardiovascular Disease) beginning early in life and has prompted the development of guidelines for children and adolescents.
Littleton Regional Hospital will host a 50-minute presentation, “Guarding Our Children’s Heart Health” on Thursday, March 13, 2008 from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. in the H. Taylor Caswell, Jr. Physician’s Office Building in Conference Room 3.
During this 50-minute presentation attendees will learn the American Heart Association guidelines for pediatric heart health and the 5-2-1-0 Healthy New Hampshire program designed to reduce and prevent childhood obesity. Participants will receive 5-2-1-0 materials and will be able to use them to put this very simple but effective program into place in their own homes. Certificates for contact hours are available.
