| |
150 volunteers provide high-quality, compassionate customer services to patients, visitors, and community members at Littleton Regional Hospital. Adult and junior volunteers staff key areas throughout our Hospital. Visitors to the hospital will find volunteers at the Reception Desk, the Same-Day Surgery Center, the Hospital Auxiliary’s Moose Ledge Gift Shop, our Medical/Surgical floor, the Veteran's Administration Clinic, and the Physicians’ Office Building Atrium. These generous and caring individuals provide companionship for our patients and visitors, clerical support to many members of our staff, and a positive attitude and desire to help others.

We currently have approximately 100 adult volunteers, of which 29 are male. And we have 13 couples that volunteer together! |

We have 85 shifts of volunteers in 6 locations, 7 days of the week. |
| |
| |
|
|
You can also find volunteers offering their services in 16 other Hospital departments. |
| |
| |
|
|
Our volunteers have a wide choice of duties, including: greeting patients and visitors; providing directions; performing receptionist duties for our Same-Day Surgery unit; serving as cashiers for our gift shop; visiting patients; and performing office duties, including computer work, copying, filing, folding, and stuffing envelopes for mailings. |

Our volunteers generally work one or two 3-hour shifts per week. |

Some volunteers take the winter off, some the summer. |

|
You can recognize our volunteers by their maroon uniforms and name badges, not to mention their smiling faces. |

|
Over the past two years, our volunteers have given an average of 14,000 hours of service each year to Littleton Regional Hospital. |

|
We also have a Junior Volunteer Program that is offered both during the school year and during the summer months. Junior volunteers must be 13 years old and have completed 7th grade to participate in the program. |

| |
|
|
Junior volunteers' hours are counted toward the Littleton High School’s 50 community service hours necessary for graduation. They can start accumulating these mandatory hours the summer after 7th grade. Students from other area schools can use these hours of community service on their college or job applications. |

|

Our Front Reception Desk

| | The Reception Desk is staffed by twenty-seven shifts of volunteers per week. Our volunteers greet patients and their families, as well as visitors and staff, with cheerful smiles. They provide directions to various areas throughout the hospital and assist our patients and visitors reach their destinations. We truly value their service. If you are interested in becoming a member of our Volunteer Team, simply speak with one of our Volunteers. It's a rewarding experience! |

| | There are ten volunteer shifts in our Same-Day waiting area, with eight shifts currently staffed by our volunteers. Moose Ledge Gift Shop

| | Our Moose Ledge Gift Shop, managed by the Littleton Hospital Auxiliary, is yet another area where you will find volunteers working. The Gift Shop is staffed by some of our volunteers, who cheerfully provide excellent customer service to our patients and their families, as well as to visitors and staff. There are currently eleven shifts, and some of these shifts are split. If you are interested in joining Littleton Regional Hospital's "family" and becoming part of our wonderful Volunteer Program, please speak with our volunteer currently staffing the Gift Shop. We'd love to have you join our "Hospital family"! And please take a moment to browse through our Gift Shop, brimming over with cards, cuddly stuffed animals, and many special gift items! We're very proud of it! |

 Our VA Clinic

| | Our VA Clinic volunteers visit with our veterans as they wait to see their physicians. Often, our volunteers assist with the office procedures. There are ten volunteer shifts in our VA Clinic, with six shifts currently staffed by our hospital's volunteers. If you would enjoy the opportunity to chat and share stories with our VA Clinic's patients as they arrive for their appointments, or if you would be interested in assisting in the VA Clinic office, please speak with a Clinic Office Manager or one of our volunteers at the hospital's Front Reception Desk. We'd welcome you as a member of our Volunteer Team at Littleton Regional Hospital! |
Our Medical Office Building Atrium

Our volunteers greet patients and their families, as well as visitors and staff, with cheerful smiles. They offer directions and provide assistance when needed. We value their services. Junior Volunteers Welcome
Littleton Regional Hospital has a very successful Junior Volunteer program. The program is available during the summer, as well as throughout the school year. Our Volunteer Co-Directors will be visiting our local schools within the next few weeks to register students for our upcoming summer program. Participants must be at least 13 years old to begin volunteering. Have questions? Speak with your school’s guidance department or business office, or call 444-9207 for further information. It’s a rewarding, informational, and educational experience for our students!
